I have… let me tell you about her

It’s been a month since I wrapped up my mentorship class with Hayet Rida and it was nothing short of amazing. What was supposed to be a 4-week mentorship class turned into 8 weeks with a best friends for life class! We have created a bond in these Instagram streets. Our group chats are about uplifting each other and encouraging one another.
I have been following Hayet for years. I’ve always admired how she never sugar-coated her life and she was very relatable to me. Her work ethnic is undeniable one of her best qualities. When she started the Rida Collective, I purchased all of her courses and documentation because I knew that one day I wanted to share my Obsession for baking in a blog and I wanted to do it right. I needed to learn how to make this shift.
A couple of months later she decided to start a mentorship class which required you to fill out an application in order to join. I filled out the application to the best of my ability knowing that I did not have enough of an Instagram following or presence to be selected, but I wanted to work with her.
To my surprise, I was selected along with 9 others. I was beyond grateful because the person that I had admired in that space was willing to teach me what she knew .

Let me tell you about Hayet- she is a creative beast! Not only does she work on her craft daily, she has no problem showing others how to do it. She is my rich auntie although I am older lol.
Here are a few things that I have learned and questions you have to ask yourself if you would like create an online presence.
Show up as your authentic self.
Think about what makes you stand out?
What is your purpose in the world of Instagram?
Your life is your content. You don’t need to plan content, just talk about your life.
Always think about what your true end goal is when you share your content.
Week after week Hayet showed up and was present. She gave us gems in regards to our content, pitching to brands, negotiating our rates, and how to edit our photos just to name a few things. We even got to work with some brands and create actual campaigns for them which was a total treat and totally unexpected.

At the end of the mentorship i left feeling more confident in what I wanted to do and how I wanted it to be executed. There is power and confidence. When you are starting something new it could be very overwhelming but if you trust the process and show up as your authentic self everytime it becomes easier and easier.

You can catch her on stories or on live at least once a week doing her makeup and dropping gems. Set your notification so you don’t miss it because she doesn’t save them!
